Teen Reads Blog

Created by OFL’s Junior Library Volunteers Book Wrangler group, this blog encourages teen readers to connect with each other and learn about how to keep reading. Teen reviewers share what we were reading, as well as great reading recommendations.

We Need Diverse Books

The librarians at OFL strive to “promote literature that reflects and honors the lives of all young people.” We believe in the We Need Diverse Books (WNDB) movement and support their efforts to produce changes in the children’s publishing industry. We support the movement’s definition of diversity: “We recognize all diverse experiences, including (but not limited to) LGBTQIA, Native, people of color, gender diversity, people with disabilities, and ethnic, cultural, and religious minorities.”
