    Children's (Downstairs)

  • Ages 0-12
  • Weekly incentives- each child can take one prize from the butterfly net
  • Kids who are reading on their own can fill out a raffle ticket for each book that they
    read and place it in one of the cans near the Junior Fiction area for a chance at
    winning some really cool prizes!!      
  • Kids will receive an ice cream coupon after reading and listing 5 books on the back
    of their reading record.    
  • Stop in for some fun on Terrific Tuesdays (at 7 p.m.):
    -July 8th :: WSTM Book Break
    -July 15th :: BINGO Night
    -July 22nd :: ESF Nature Program (need to preregister- ages 8-13)
    -July 29th :: Zoo to You  
    -August 5th :: Puppets With Pizzaz
    -August 12th :: Moreland the Magician (at St. Michael's Parish Center)

    Teens' (Upstairs)

  • Grades 6-12
  • Teens receive 1 raffle ticket per book they read to put in one prize can- either for the
    weekly prize or the grand prize. (Teens receive an extra raffle ticket for every book
    they read that is 300 pages or more.)
  • Weekly prize drawings will be held every Friday afternoon during the program.
  • Grand prize drawing will be held at the End of Summer Reading Party on August 19th
  • Thursday Night Teen Trivia!! (6 p.m. every Thursday night)
           - Test your knowledge and win prizes!!!!

Summer Reading
Come in and sign up for the summer reading program!  
Sign-ups start June 23rd.

Children and teens of all ages can keep track of the
books that they read this summer.

Last day to record books is August 15th.
End-of-Summer Reading Party will be
held on August 19th at 7 p.m.
**Children and teens who sign up and read at  
least 5 books are eligible for fine waivers at
the end of the program.  Fines (
not for LOST
items)accrued before 6/30/08 will be eligible.**
**Children and teens can get books from their school's summer
reading lists.  Many titles will be available at the library and others
can be requested from other libraries for pickup at OFL.  Books will
be on display upstairs in the library for Westhill, Onondaga Central
and West Genesee schools, grades 6 and up.  School summer
reading books will be marked with a red dot.**
